A good friend from design school and I were hired by Luke Investments to create a few renderings of a conceptual building on a land parcel that the company owned in downtown Detroit. The prompt was to create a vision and to gather excitement as the property was being taken to market expeditiously. The site is one of the few in Detroit proper to have no building height restrictions, so we spent a busy weekend putting together a quick design for the tallest building in the city. The property sold and the renderings gathered quite a buzz, tallying over a thousand Facebook likes on a Curbed Detroit article.
