MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY GRAND RAPIDS RESEARCH CENTER

The $90 million dollar building, that will house the College of Medicine at Michigan State University's Grand Rapids location, is nearly complete. I was able to contribute to several parts of the construction documentation process. As well, after the university was granted an additional 15' of right-of-way west of the building, I developed the preliminary designs for a boardwalk that spans a bioswale infiltration basin. The work was eventually incorporated into the overall design. However after moving on to other projects, I found that much of the design intent was lost and learned the importance of seeing ideas through to implementation.
